"This recipe for Air Fryer French Toast Sticks couldn’t be easier to make and comes together in less than 15 minutes. Delicious for breakfast or brunch served with maple syrup and berries. If you’ve never made French toast in your air fryer, now’s the time to do it. Using the air fryer means no messing around with pans and butter and delivers perfectly crisp French toast that is light and fluffy on the inside".

Ingredients:
Bread. I use brioche but any white bread/sourdough bread will work. Day-old bread is great as it absorbs more of the custard.
Eggs
Cream. Heavy cream/whipping cream.
Salt
Honey
For serving: Maple syrup, icing sugar/powdered sugar and berries.
Method:
Make the custard: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, honey and a pinch of salt.
Slice the bread: Using a sharp bread knife, slice the bread into thick fingers or slices.
Soak: Place a few piece of bread into the custard at a time and allow to soak for a few seconds.
Air fry: Remove the bread from the custard and place into the air fryer basket, lined with parchment paper. Spray with oil then air fry for 4-5 minutes at 205°C/400°F, flipping over halfway through cooking, until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
Serve: Remove then dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with maple syrup and serve.
Can I make this ahead?
Although best served immediately after cooking, any leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. Air fry for a few minutes to warm back up before serving.
