These apple & pumpkin fritters are crispy, delicious and healthier than ever thanks to the Instant Vortex.
You can now make large batches in the Vortex Oven - perfect for entertaining or a healthy and satisfying snack.

Ingredients:
225g self-raising flour
80 g castor sugar
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cinnamon
½ cup apple juice
30 g melted butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 apples grated
Method:
Sift the flour into a bowl add the sugar, cinnamon & salt.
Add the apple juice, vanilla essence, butter & lightly whisked eggs.
Add the grated apple.
Mix until the ingredients come together.
Place baking paper on the vortex baking tray make sure to leave 1 cm space between the edge of the tray to allow air flow.
Spray the paper with cooking spray.
Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheets.
Set the Vortex Oven (can also use Vortex, Vortex Plus and Duo Crisp) to Bake at 200ºc for 6 mins. turn halfway through the cooking process.
When you remove them from the oven toss in cinnamon and sugar.
Serve with custard or vanilla ice cream.
For pumpkin fritters Ingredients:
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Topping:
1 tsp cinnamon
60 ml castor sugar
Method
Sift the flour, salt & baking powder together
Add the egg & pumpkin puree
Mix until the mixture comes together
Place baking paper on the baking trays and make sure to leave 1 cm space between the edge of the tray to allow air flow
Spray the paper with cooking spray
Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheets
Bake at 180ºC for 8 mins.
Turn fritters halfway through cooking
Remove from the oven and drizzle with maple syrup and toss in cinnamon & sugar.
