Tip:
Set up an olive or avocado oil spritz bottle (as used for salad dressings) to use to coat the ingredients before air frying.
Avoid the traditional non-stick sprays which contain soya lecithin as these may damage the non-stick coatings.
Ingredients
4 chicken thighs & 4 drum sticks
1 cup mayonnaise
1 TBSP soya sauce
½ tsp paprika
1 clove garlic
Celery salt or garlic salt
1 ½ cups fresh breadcrumbs
¼ cup sesame seeds
2 TBSP olive oil
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Method
· Mix the mayonnaise, soya sauce, paprika, garlic & celery salt.
· Marinate the chicken pieces in the mayonnaise mixture.
· Mix the sesame seeds with the breadcrumbs.
· Toss the chicken in the crumb mix.
· Drizzle or spray the chicken pieces with oi.l
· Set the Instant Vortex (or Duo Crisp) to Air Fry at 180c for 35 mins. This will set it to Pre-Heat, and then once it beeps, add the chicken.
· The Vortex (or Duo Crisp) will beep to prompt you to turn the chicken halfway through cooking.
· Serve with sweet potato fries and garlic mayonnaise.
Garlic & herb Mayonnaise
½ cup mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic crushed
Pinch paprika
Chopped herbs (optional)
Mix all the ingredients together and serve.
