A bunny is well known dish, a perfect meal for those colder days or any other day. A bunny chow is basically a hollowed bread with a filling of your choice.
Ingredients:
1 kg lamb (leg pieces)washed and cut
1 onion sliced
4 potatoes halved
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon ghee
1 chilli slit
1 tsp jeera seeds
2 elaichie pods
1 sprig curry leaves
2 cinnamon stick
1 clove
3 blended tomatoes
2 tablespoons kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp mutton masala
1 tsp dhania powder
1 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tablespoons ginger and garlic paste
Handful of dhania
Method:
Place your instant pot onto sauté function for 10 minutes. Add in your oil and ghee with onions, whole spices and chilli. Allow onions to turn golden.
When onions are golden add in your lamb with ginger and garlic paste. Place glass lid on and allow meat to cook until all water released from your meat starts to dry up but still a little liquid left behind.
When it is dry add in your powdered masala and give it a good mix. Allow to cook for a few seconds before you throw in your tomatoes.
Close your pot and pressure cook on high for 20 minutes. Allow for natural pressure release .
Add in your potatoes and 1/2 cup water. Pressure cook for another 12 minutes. Allow for natural release and garnish with dhania.
Cut your bread and make a window for the curry. Place your curry inside. Serve with carrot salad. Enjoy
