Heard about the Sous Vide Egg Bite craze? Starbucks pioneered the sous vide egg bite as a healthier breakfast option for carb-free, keto eating. Everyone wondered how were they managing to get these snacks with a consistently smooth, velvety finish – never over-done, never under-done!
Secret, sous vide in mason jars!
With your Duo Plus you can now experiment and create your own delectable egg bites using endless flavour combinations: eggs, cream, chives, gruyere cheese, roasted peppers, cottage cheese, crispy bacon…or even a dairy free version!

Ingredients
6 eggs
1/2 c grated gruyere
1/4 c cream cheese
1/4 tsp salt
3 slices cooked bacon, cut in halves
Extra Equipment: 6 x 4oz/125ml canning jars with 2-part screw-on lids
Method
Set to Sauté mode and fry bacon. Remove, set aside, and then cut in half. Wipe down inner pot and fill with water until ½ way mark. Mix other ingredients together and then using a stick blender, blend well until smooth. Place ½ slice of bacon into each jar. Pour egg & cheese mixture evenly into the 6 jars until 2/3 full. Secure lids to finger-tip tightness (not too tight). Then place into the inner pot until submerged in the water. Set to Sous Vide at 56c for 1 hour.
When complete, remove and serve with chopped fresh herbs.
